ROOM FOR YOUR FAMILY MEMORIES
Every family account includes the same 10 GB file-storage allowance during the trial and as part of its paid plan. Your photos and PDFs share this allowance; the number of relatives in your database does not.

For example, if a photo averages 2–5 MB, 10 GB works out to roughly 2,000–5,000 photos if used only for photos. Actual capacity varies by camera, photo format, resolution, compression and how many PDF documents you add.

We'll let the family account owner know before storage fills up. Your family information matters
After 30 days without a subscription, every login on the family account automatically becomes read-only. People can still view records they already have permission to see, but they cannot add or change records until the account is activated.
We'll remind the account owner before the trial expires. Subscribing later would restore editing so you can pick up where you left off.
Reactivation window under consideration: six months. The final data-retention and export policy will be published before paid signup opens.

Yes. Even on the $10 Private Family plan, you can record thousands of relatives. One login does not mean one family-member record.
Yes! It can include your relatives, in-laws, stepfamily and other people you choose to record. You don't need a separate plan for each surname.
No. The plan simply allows five individual logins, including the account owner, for the same family database.
No. No card is required for the trial. A paid subscription starts only after you choose a plan and authorize payment.
No. Read-only pauses editing. It does not expand anyone's permission to view notes, documents or records that were private before.
No. The proposed experience keeps existing information available read-only. We are considering a six-month reactivation window, with the final retention and export policy to be confirmed before launch.

It depends on the size of your photos. At an average of 2–5 MB each, approximately 2,000–5,000 photos could fit if storage were used only for photographs. PDFs also count toward your 10 GB, so your actual photo count will vary.
Yes. A group photo can be connected to each person pictured without having to upload duplicate copies of the same file.
No. Each extra 10 GB costs $2 per month and requires the family account owner to choose and authorize the add-on. We will show storage use and warn you before you run out of room.
